Our Location
Our luxury bed and breakfast is
situated on the edge of the small château town of Bourganeuf, in the
Limousin region of France.
Our stunning 19th century home
is full of original features and is surrounded by 2.5 acres of mature
landscaped gardens. The grounds and outdoor swimming pool offer a rural
retreat with enticing views of the Limousin countryside, whilst within a 5
minute walk, Bourganeuf has all amenities and a bustling weekly market.
The Limousin is renowned for its
lakes, woodland and rolling hills and Bourganeuf, although rural, is located
only 1 hours drive from Limoges airport. The A20 motorway is about 40
minutes away. There are rail links to Paris from Limoges and La Souterraine.
Bourganeuf has a lot to offer
including a medieval château, a Wednesday weekly market, English speaking estate
agents, cafés, restaurants, an electricity museum and a 9-hole golf course.
Bordering the grounds of our home is the stunning Gorges du Verger, here you
will find an all terrain cycle track and numerous marked footpaths.
This area is perfect for those who are looking for a more relaxed pace,
there are acres of countryside for walking, picnics and other activities.
The region has châteaux, museums and the world-famous Limoges porcelain and
Aubusson tapestry industries.
You will also discover intriguing towns such as Guéret, Limoges, Aubusson
and Eymoutiers. The Limousin is home to the beautiful Lac de Vassivière - a
2500 acre lake, with a complete range of water-based activities.
